The Wyoming Teachers' Circle is an exciting new program and its mission is devoted to broadening the mathematical horizons of middle and high school math teachers. Based partly on a model developed at the American Institute of Mathematics, the focus will be on open-ended explorations of mathematical problems, with a view toward potential applications in the classroom. Many teachers, like their students, enjoy discovering great mathematics. The intent of The Teachers' Circle is to immerse a group of educators in engaging topics and equip them with an effective problem-solving approach to teaching mathematics. Summer Conference A teachers' circle summer conference will be held in Jackson, WY from July 6th-8th, 2009 at the Teton Science School. This conference will support teachers in their development of problem solving skills. Teams from school districts are encouraged to attend. Limited space is available.
