Congratulations to Thor Gunderson and Sandra Gothard for being
the first math teachers in the state of Wyoming to earn national
certification! Larry (Thor) earned his in Adolescent & Young Adult
Mathematics while Sandra earned hers in Early Adolescent Mathematics.
Great job Thor and Sandra!
Also a congratulations goes out to
Richard Pieper for becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. Richard
became certified in Early Adolescent Mathematics in 2002. Great job
Richard!
Congratulations to Catherine McAtee of
Hanna. She teaches at Elk Mountain Elementary and received the National
Presidential State Award for Elementary Mathematics. She had her students
measure wind velocities at different sites near Elk Mountain for a year. The
kids then wrote recommendations to wind farm corporations informing them of
their results and making recommendations for wind farm sites. Awesome work
Catherine!
